Ryan Pigg represented a minor child who lost her father as a result of an 18-wheeler making an illegal U-turn on a highway in the middle of the night. The 18-wheeler’s trailer occupied all lanes of the highway as the driver attempted the dangerous maneuver. As the 18 wheeler occupied all lanes of traffic, the deceased tragically ran into the side of the trailer with his motorcycle. During litigation, Ryan discovered the 18-wheeler’s trailer indicator lights were not functioning and the trailer did not have the required reflective tape on its side panels. The negligent maintenance of the trailer made it nearly invisible to the naked eye at night time.
